Privacy Policy
Last updated July 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Easy Timesheet (“Easy Timesheet,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our website and app, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Easy Timesheet, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored securely as a hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, photo).
- Your business data — the timesheets, hours, clients, invoices, rates, and business/company details you enter. This is your content; we store it to provide the service.
- Payment & subscription data — if you subscribe to Pro or accept online invoice payments, payments are handled by Stripe. We store limited billing metadata (e.g. subscription status, a Stripe customer/account identifier), but we never see or store full card or bank numbers — Stripe does.
- Usage & device data — basic analytics such as pages visited, actions taken (e.g. sign up, invoice sent), browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP. We use this to understand and improve the product.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and improve the service.
- To generate your timesheets, invoices, and PDFs.
- To send transactional email (verification, password reset, invoice delivery, payment confirmations) via our email provider.
- To process subscriptions and, if you enable it, invoice payments.
- To measure how the product and our marketing perform, and to fix problems.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers we share data with
We share data only with the vendors that help us run Easy Timesheet:
- Stripe — payment processing (subscriptions and invoice payments). See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- SendGrid (Twilio) — sending transactional and invoice emails.
- Vercel and MongoDB Atlas — hosting the app and storing your data.
- Analytics & advertising — privacy-conscious product analytics and, where applicable, the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising pixel, to measure signups and campaign performance.
4. Cookies & tracking
We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences (like light/dark mode), and analytics/advertising cookies to measure usage and ad performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential ones may break parts of the app.
5. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your associated timesheets, invoices, and client records. Some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, or security reasons, and backups may persist for a limited period.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data — encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can edit most information in the app, or contact us to make a request.
8. Children
Easy Timesheet is for business use and is not directed to children under 16.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the date above and, for material changes, provide notice where appropriate.
